Hi! My name is Lyssi Urso. I am a Certified Veterinary Technician licensed through Wisconsin. In 2010 I started in the animal field at my first job at a doggie daycare/boarding facility. In 2013 I had the opportunity to become a veterinary assistant at a vet clinic. During that time I went to school to become a Certified Veterinary Technician. I graduated from the Madison College Veterinary Technician program with an Associates Degree in Applied Animal Science in May 2016.
I live with my husband, Connor, and our Boxer/Australian Shepherd mix named Makwa. We three love to go traveling and hiking. Our goal is to visit all 50 states.
I love canine enrichment and I think it's extremely important to our animal friends. Most people forget mental stimulation is just as important as physical. I like to give Makwa his meals in food puzzles to keep his brain sharp. We work on scent searches and agility at home and have also completed the Canine Good Citizen series (Basic, Urban and Advanced).
