Note: I am open to discussing pet-sitting for "pocket pets" (hamsters, rabbits, guinea pigs, etc.) and other small creatures, such as fish. We'll have to discuss how many of them there are and the level of care needed to identify a fair price.

Do you have a difficult time getting your pet to cooperate for basic care and hygiene? If so, I will travel to your house to cover basic grooming needs. You may be asked to hold your animal.
It's important to keep nails trimmed as getting too long can create pain and issues walking and/or breaking.
After trimming the nails, I am able to round out the rough edges keeping the nail looking clean and smooth. Helps with nail catching and floor traction.
What are anal glands? They are the scent glands in animals located just inside the anus typically positioned at 4:00 and 8:00 o'clock.
Why do dogs need them expressed? Usually dogs can be able to express them on their own, but sometimes they need a little help. It could be a one time thing or on a routine basis. Most of the time if dogs need help expressing their anal glands it's linked to allergies.
How do you know if the anal glands need to be expressed? Typical indicators are scooting, licking/paying more attention to their hind end. If the anal glands are very full they may leak out a stink, pungent smell on the couch or bed. Gross!
Does your animal have frequent ear infections and you want to try and minimize that? Keeping the ears clean is the way to do it! I will provide the ear cleaner (unless prescribed a specific ear cleaner by your veterinarian then I will use that), cotton balls and treats of course!
Is your dog excessively shedding and need a good brushing? Using a brush called the Furminator will help get rid of that undercoat and minimize the fur in your home. Price will scale to the difficulty of the brushing and size of the dog.
Have a long hair cat that gets small mats or knots in the fur? Brushing regularly can help with that! Includes a full-body brushing and trimming any necessary mats. Price will vary with the severity of matting.
As a Certified Veterinary Technician, I am comfortable giving medications and injections to animals. This will ease your mind that your furry loved one is getting what they need appropriately. All services are provided in the comfort of your home. You may be asked to hold your animal.
